Wrong Profession?

Every time we have a violation at my work, it takes a while for things to calm down.  Things are finally starting to go back to normal, customers have stopped asking about what happened, and the employees are mostly calmed down again.

The first two times that I had this happen in my workplace, I happened to not be there.  The very first one I experienced was eight years ago, and I was in the middle of a haircut when it occurred.  I ran back, with half my hair cut, and still wet.  The second time, I was on vacation.  I also came in that time, mostly to make sure that everyone was okay, and to help our operations people.

My Dad specifically always gives me a hard time when this happens.  Always, a dry little jokester.  Tries to say, I wasn’t there for a reason.  Ha ha, Dad.

You see, we have a little bit of a family history.

On my Dad’s side of the family, I am distant cousins with Bonnie Parker, of Bonnie and Clyde.  Also on my Dad’s side of the family, we are related to Isaac Parker, the most infamous of the Hanging Judges

On my mother’s side of the family, we are distant cousins with Jesse James.

I mean seriously.  How can one family, be related to all these notorious old bad guys?

When we were kids, on vacation at various points, we have visited all of these grave sites.  No lie.  My Dad is a huge history buff.  We climbed a mountain one time so that we could see some dead dude’s grave.  I don’t even know who that one was.

So the big tease from my Dad, is that I’m in the wrong profession.  People from our family do the violating.

I just hope this isn’t one of those things that skips a few generations, or my kids are doomed.
